Considering of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acomold.com\/low-volume-injection-molding.html\">low volume production<\/a>, 5k, in order to save costs for our customer, ACO Mold go 1+1 mold solution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basic mold information<\/strong>: <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Plastic protective case mold information\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" data-src=\"\/image\/plastic-protective-case-mold-information.jpg\" alt=\"Plastic protective case mold information\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" align=\"right\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Plastic protective case mold information\" src=\"\/image\/plastic-protective-case-mold-information.jpg\" alt=\"Plastic protective case mold information\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" align=\"right\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mold type: 2-Plate<\/li>\n<li>Gate type: Side Gate<\/li>\n<li>Cavity number: 1+1<\/li>\n<li>Material: ABS(PA-757)<\/li>\n<li>Shrinkage: 5\/1000<\/li>\n<li>Molding Machine (Tons): 160T<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before making the injection mold, ACO Mold do DFM analysis of the plastic protective cases,\u00a0 and verify some important information with the customer, like parting line, gate position, ejection, etc.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Plastic protective case injection mold specs\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" data-src=\"\/image\/plastic-protective-case-injection-mold-specs.jpg\" alt=\"Plastic protective case injection mold specs\" width=\"680\" height=\"291\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Plastic protective case injection mold specs\" src=\"\/image\/plastic-protective-case-injection-mold-specs.jpg\" alt=\"Plastic protective case injection mold specs\" width=\"680\" height=\"291\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>After the verification with the customer, ACO Mold made 3D design layout of the injection mold.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Plastic protective case injection mold 3D design\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" data-src=\"\/image\/plastic-protective-case-injection-mold-3d-design.jpg\" alt=\"Plastic protective case injection mold 3D design\" width=\"680\" height=\"573\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Plastic protective case injection mold 3D design\" src=\"\/image\/plastic-protective-case-injection-mold-3d-design.jpg\" alt=\"Plastic protective case injection mold 3D design\" width=\"680\" height=\"573\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>The actual injection mold completed as following picture shows:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Injection mold for plastic protective case\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" data-src=\"\/image\/injection-mold-for-plastic-protective-case.jpg\" alt=\"Injection mold for plastic protective case\" width=\"680\" height=\"624\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" title=\"Injection mold for plastic protective case\" src=\"\/image\/injection-mold-for-plastic-protective-case.jpg\" alt=\"Injection mold for plastic protective case\" width=\"680\" height=\"624\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acomold.com\/mold-making.html\">Injection mold making<\/a> took 4 weeks, ACO Mold did T1 sample testing on the scheduled time, but there were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acomold.com\/how-to-avoid-sink-mark-when-molding-plastic-products.html\">sink marks<\/a> on the surface of the plastic case (marked by red cycles in following picture), the reason of the sink marks was the thickness is too heavy in those positions, which we had stated this risks and proposed to change that in DFM phrase, unfortunately customer insist on going forward any way with their own original design.<\/p>\n<p>ACO Mold discussed with the customer about the sink marks, the customer agreed to send the T1 samples to check if there is any other function issue or any assembly issues, the customer did the testing, everything was great except the sink marks.
